Siri Dharma Galliano had a busy career, known as the “Hollywood Guru of Fitness” on feature movies and television series, where she developed a no nonsense reputation for results. In 1989 she met Romana Kryzanowska, and graduated from her program in 1994. Siri continues that lineage, holding an uncompromising line in the artform of classical pilates.. For 20 years she directed the largest studio in Beverly Hills, getting equipment and jobs to hundreds of people, including Jay Grimes,Sandy Shimoda, Shari Berkowitz, and Ana Caban.
She has served International VIP’s and Royalty, as well as taught in jails and juvenile halls. After presenting at World fitness conferences, and observing the commercialism and cult personalities, she began in 2007 to create Big Bear Pilates Intensives to structure a more natural learning process and environment. Siri is frequently used as an equipment expert in lawsuits because of the alarming amount of tragic accidents occurring and focuses on safety in all her workshops. She has added REALTOR to her list of ways to help people and concentrates her business in Big Bear.
Barbara Ligeti traveled the world with Romana Kryzanowska-from Takapuna, New Zealand, to Rio in Brazil, to London, Paris, Spain and more.
Ligeti traveled from colleges and universities such as Goucher, to dance companies such as the Arlington Ballet, always with a camera in hand, capturing wisdoms that ranged from meticulous descriptions of Joseph Pilates’ teachings to wonderful anecdotes about his life, that of his wife Clara, students, teachers and clients.
You have heard her voice if you have done the Romana Mat DVD’s, and she filmed and produced the touchstone Romana on Pilates: The Legacy Edition.
Gabriela Solini has the most successful Pilates studios in Madrid, helping 700 students a week get stronger and stay healthy. Her studios have both Gratz and the Balanced Body machines constantly, simultaneously working.
Her model of business has been copied all over Spain and Argentina. Just like she organizes a large team of teachers, and multi level classes and problems, Gabriela organizes a body, and sequences of exercises to stay fresh and interesting.
She combines her 20 years performing as a Flamenco dancer, with her experience training with and translating for the late, great Bob Liekens, as well as Siri Galliano.
Tiziana Trovati is a purist when it comes to Pilates. She had a one-on-one mentorship with Romana Kryzanowska in the early ‘90s after looking for a way to restore her body from being a dancer in Milan, Italy. Part of the New York Teacher Training Program was watching, weekly, Romana give Tiziana the one spring, or one repetition reformer workout. Certified in 1998, she opened her own studio in California. She currently resides and teaches in Costa Rica when not traveling around the world as a Master Teacher of the classical foundation that Joseph Pilates taught his first pupils.
